And during all of this time we were becoming a beacon in the world for the freedom of all. But all was not well. The greater the freedom for some, the lesser it seemed for others. The closer we came to equality, the harder it was to achieve and the greater became the perception of failure.
But all is not lost. There is always a way if we can say that IN GOD WE TRUST. If our nation was “redeemed by the shedding of blood” (The Revolution), and sanctified by the shedding of blood (The Civil War) can the shedding of innocent blood during the civil unrest of riots throughout the nation bring about an opportunity for God to inspire the “More Perfect Union” of our constitution’s preamble? That is a possibility that looms before us now. It is embodied in God’s ability to work with the imperfect nature of mankind to bring about fruition of His plan for this nation according to the prophecy of Daniel in his interpretation of King Nebuchadnezzar’s dream. Daniel 2:44 And in the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that shall never be destroyed, nor shall the kingdom be left to another people. It shall break in pieces all these kingdoms and bring them to an end, and it shall stand forever,
